Frequently Asked Questions
If you don’t see your question here, book a free 30-minute call and ask us directly.
Q: Do I have to commit to a long contract? A: All plans run on a 3-month minimum term — enough time for you to see a genuine difference in your workload. After that, you can cancel with 30 days’ written notice. There are no hidden fees or exit charges.
Q: What happens if I use more hours than my plan includes? A: We’ll flag it before it happens. If you consistently need more hours, we’ll recommend moving to the next tier. Any agreed overage is charged at £45 per hour and confirmed in writing before the work is done.
Q: How do you handle my confidential business information? A: Heighton Ltd is registered with the ICO (Ref: ZB868639) and operates fully in line with UK GDPR. All client documents are stored in a dedicated, access-controlled SharePoint folder. We never share your data with third parties without your written consent.
Q: Do I need to be based in Surrey to work with you? A: No. We work entirely virtually, so we can support businesses anywhere in the UK. That said, our particular strength is in Surrey and the South East — we know the local market, the local contractors, and the local property landscape.
Q: Can I start with a one-off project rather than a retainer? A: Absolutely. The CQC Compliance Pack, the Renters’ Rights Act Transition Pack, and the bespoke RAMS and tender services are all available as standalone projects. Many of our retainer clients started with a one-off project first.
Q: What software and systems do you work with? A: We work within Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Planner) and are experienced with Cliniko, WriteUpp, Heydoc, Xero, and most standard CRM and project management platforms. We adapt to your systems — not the other way around.
Q: How do I know how many hours I need? A: Take the free 2-minute Admin Health Check on our website and you’ll receive a personalised efficiency report. Or book a free 30-minute call and we’ll assess your workload together before recommending a plan.
Q: Are your template documents legally compliant? A: Our construction compliance templates are prepared in line with current UK legislation including CDM 2015, COSHH Regulations 2002, and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. They are guidance tools — always ensure documents are reviewed for site-specific conditions before use. We are not solicitors and our templates do not constitute legal advice.
